I'm a gymnast and I just started practice last week and I already have shin splints, please help!!?

I'm 5'3 and i have really high arches so i have an amazing point. I have these really painful shin splints every time i tumble or vault. What can i do to decrease the pain of these? I already take ibprofen before every practice and i rest and ice and everything, every night but what can i do while i'm practice? ps. i have to go to the doctor in a about a week for a sports physical
