Clear thick mucus from vagina, what could it be?

I am embarrassed to ask my mom. When i went to the bathroom I had clear mucus that came from my vagina. I looked this up and it said Clear and watery: This occurs at different times of your cycle and can be particularly heavy after exercising. (im a gymnast) but i did not have my cycle yet! i didn't have my period!
