What do i need for my home recording studio?!?

I asked my parents if i could turn one of our empty rooms into a recording studio, and the agreed! But my problem is that i don't know exactly what i need to get... I write my own songs, and i want to be able to record vocals and all the instrumentals too, but record them all separately or live... i.e. i want to be able to record the vocals, then drums, then guitar, then like put the 3 together to make the song. Like to record all parts individually, but i also want the option to record all parts at the same time... I really hope that makes sense. I honestly have NO idea what i need!
